President gives instructions on development of Astana
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Astana Mayor Zhenis Kassymbek, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Head of State was informed on the socio-economic and infrastructural development of the capital.
According to the akimat, for 5 months of this year, the volume of investments amounted to over 425 billion tenge, an increase of more than 20% compared to the same period last year. In 2023, it is planned to commission 25 investment projects. This will attract 87 billion tenge and create 1.8 thousand jobs.
The President was briefed about the development of residential areas, the demolition of dilapidated housing, the construction of social facilities, the completion of long-term construction, support for small and medium-sized businesses, job creation, as well as the improvement of the city.
According to Zhenis Kassymbek, this year it is planned to build about 6 thousand social preferential apartments, to complete the construction of 16 shared construction facilities. In addition, in order to develop the transport infrastructure of the capital, the construction of a bridge along Tauelsizdik Avenue will be completed in 2023, 400 new buses will enter the city's routes.
On behalf of the Head of State, systematic work is being carried out on landscaping and landscaping of the city. This year, it is planned to improve more than 150 courtyards and public spaces.
In conclusion, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions on the further development of the social and engineering infrastructure of Astana, landscaping of the city and preparation for the heating season.
