Poultry meat production in Kazakhstan increased three fold - analysts
The production of fresh or chilled poultry meat in January-October 2023 reached 118.3 thousand tons, which is immediately 26.8% more compared to the same period in 2022. Of these, 54.2 thousand tons - 37.4% more compared to January-October 2022, El.kz reports with reference to Energyprom.
At the end of October 2023, poultry meat prices increased by only 0.3% per month and by only 1.4% per year. At the same time, a year earlier, poultry meat rose in price by 28.6% over the year.
Prices for poultry meat for the year increased in 12 out of 20 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The largest rise in price was noted in Astana: by 13.6%. It is followed by West Kazakhstan and Ulytau regions: by 9.7% and 9%, respectively.
In the remaining 8 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prices for poultry meat decreased. The most noticeable reduction in price was observed in the Aktobe region: by 13.8%. It is followed by Turkestan and Mangistau regions: by 12.1% and 8.8%, respectively.
