Over 30 billion tenge paid to Kazakhstanis as social payments last year
This year, the State Social Insurance Fund received 204 billion tenge, of which 199 billion tenge were sent to recipients of social payments, El.kz reports with reference to Kazinform.
“Since 2015, the Social Insurance Fund has received funds in the amount of about 4 trillion tenge. These are social payments that employers sent monthly to the Fund. We distribute these funds monthly among the recipients of social payments. During this year, 2.6 trillion tenge was spent on social payments. As for last year, we paid 339 billion as social payments, and the fund received 353 billion tenge," General Director of the Social Insurance Fund Nursulu Kemel said at a briefing at the CCS.
According to her, there are also accumulated assets in amount of 4 trillion tenge which intended for further social payments
By the way, the social insurance system covers 6 million working people, and more than 1 million recipients a year are assigned a social payment for five types of social risk.
