Over half a million Kazakhstanis employed within framework of national project
During 2023, as part of the implementation of the National Project for the Development of Entrepreneurship for the period 2021-2025, employment support programs covered 756.2 thousand people. 555.7 thousand of them received labor placement, and 357.4 thousand of them got permanent jobs, the El.kz reports.
Within the framework of the program, 198.3 thousand subsidized jobs were created, the distribution of which was as follows: 17.4 thousand people were employed in social jobs; 33.9 thousand - within the framework of youth practice; 121.4 thousand - on public works. In addition, 9.9 thousand people were employed in the "First Workplace" projects, 493 people in the "Generations Contract" project, and 15.2 thousand people in the "Silver Age" program.
In 2023, 46.1 thousand unemployed people took part in online courses focused on acquiring skills that are in demand in the labor market. Of this number, 42,000 successfully completed the training.
In addition, 133.4 thousand people participated in training on the basics of entrepreneurship within the framework of the Bastau Business project, and 99 thousand of them successfully completed the courses and received the appropriate certificates.
To determine the future direction of activity, 143.9 thousand people took courses of social career guidance.
In addition, within the framework of the National Project for 2023, it is planned to issue 9 thousand grants for the implementation of new business initiatives, each of which is 400 MCI (1,380,000 tenge). During the year, 9,102 such grants were issued.
