Particular attention under the initiative is being paid to fostering environmentally responsible habits among children. Kazakhstan is implementing the “Zhasyl Balabaksha” project, which aims to promote environmental awareness among preschool children.

According to the Ministry of Ecology, 295 environmentally focused preschool institutions have been established in Kazakhstan. Schools have also held more than 158,000 class sessions dedicated to responsible attitudes towards nature and the environment.

Another component of the initiative is public oversight of sanitary conditions in populated areas. Residents can report polluted sites and issues related to the maintenance and improvement of public spaces via the TazaQazBot Telegram chatbot.

According to the Ministry, the service has received 59,600 submissions. The reports concern the cleanliness of public spaces, waste collection and the condition of local areas.

The Ministry of Ecology emphasised that the “Taza Kazakhstan” initiative is aimed at fostering environmental awareness and engaging residents across the country in protecting the environment.
