Over 490 tonnes of food and other agricultural products will be brought to Astana by producers from Akmola region. On October, 31 a regional agricultural fair will be held at the Qazanat Hippodrome, where residents of the capital will be able to purchase meat, dairy products, vegetables, flour, eggs, fish and other goods at prices 10–15% below the market average, El.kz reports citing the Akmola Region Department of Internal Policy.

Approximately 40 agricultural producers are expected to participate in the fair. A total of 140 trading stalls have been prepared, and the range of goods on offer will comprise over 50 product categories.

Vegetable producers will account for the largest share of supplies. Over 210 tonnes of potatoes and other vegetables will be available at the fair. Consumers will also be offered 124 tonnes of meat and sausage products, 38 tonnes of flour, 32 tonnes of milk and dairy products, 11 tonnes of vegetable oil and approximately 8 tonnes of cereals. In addition, four tonnes of fresh fish and fish products, as well as 350,000 table eggs, will be delivered to Astana.

In addition to food products, planting materials and other seasonal goods will be available for sale at the venue.

For producers from Akmola Region, the fair in the capital provides an opportunity to reach consumers directly, while residents of Astana will be able to purchase products from regional farms at more affordable prices. The organisers aim to supply the capital’s market with domestically produced goods and offer consumers a wide selection of products while minimising intermediary involvement in the supply chain.

The fair will take place on October, 31 starting at 8:00 a.m., at the Qazanat Hippodrome in Astana.
