Over 30 schools to build in Astana

The new General Plan of Astana until 2035 provides for the construction of more than 430 social facilities (schools, kindergartens, medical institutions). Of these, 164 facilities are schools. Akim of Astana Kassymbek Zhenis wrote about this on his Instagram page, El.kz reports.

Akim of Astana noted that at the moment over 30 schools are being built in the city for almost 100 thousand students. During the new academic year, 23 schools will be built. This is a record figure for the capital.

- For example, within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School", Samruk-Kazyna Construction will build 24 comfortable schools (in the period from 2024-2025). Schools of the new model will create 90 thousand student places, Kassymbek writes.

- Also, at the beginning of the school year, in addition to the above-described educational institutions, it is planned to open 3 more public and one private school. In addition, by the end of the year, it is planned to open 7 more comfortable schools, 2 public schools and 2 private schools.

Thus, 23 schools will be built during the new academic year. We are also preparing a reserve for the next years, the akim said.
