According to the permits of local executive bodies, 13,403 foreign citizens work in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among the permits for attracting foreign labor there are the following categories: 565 permits for managers and their deputies, 2,966 permits for heads of structural units.
At the moment, there are 1,640 employers using FL in Kazakhstan. They employ more than 409 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan, which is 96% of the total number of employees.
By type of economic activity, the largest number of people work in the fields of construction - 5,494 people (41%); mining and quarrying – 1,455 (11%); professional, scientific and technical activities – 995 people (8%); manufacturing industry – 889 people (7%); agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 641 people (5%).
The main countries of origin of labor migrants are
China – 3,411 people, India – 1,685 people, Turkey – 1,523 people, Great Britain – 1,073 people, Uzbekistan – 769 people
