OSCE and CIS observers visit Supreme Court of Kazakhstan

 Chairman of the Judicial Board for Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court Aslan Tukiev met with the heads of observer missions from the CIS Leonid Anfimov and from the OSCE ODIHR Owen Murphy, El.kz with reference to the press service of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The meeting discussed the features of the election campaign, the timing and process of consideration of administrative cases on the protection of electoral rights, as well as the organization of the work of the courts during the electoral period.

Aslan Tukiev informed the guests about the work of the Supreme Court, the courts of the republic, as well as the collegium headed by him, whose jurisdiction also includes the consideration of cases on the protection of electoral rights.

The speaker stressed that along with challenging the decisions and actions (inaction) of the Central Election Commission, the Supreme Court also considers disputes on the refusal to register or cancel the decision to register a candidate in a single-mandate territorial constituency in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
