Number of tourists increased in Kazakhstan

For 9 months of 2022, 5.5 million tourists rested abroad, the number of people rested in Kazakhstan from the outside amounted to 3.4 million people, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR of the Republic of Kazakhstan

As explained in the department, the number of those who went on vacation abroad compared to 9 months last year increased by 2.2 times, who visited Kazakhstan for recreation - 3.6 times.

The number of visitors to domestic tourism accommodation increased by 25.1%, in January-September of this year, their number amounted to 4.8 million people.

The number of facilities engaged in accommodation of visitors amounted to 3,965 units, there are 84,416 rooms. These facilities served 5.4 million people and provided services in the amount of 129,183.2 million tenge.

The volume of services rendered by accommodation places (excluding restaurant services) increased by 54.5% (in comparable prices) compared to January-September last year.

In January-September 2022, 2.4 million domestic and 317.2 thousand incoming visitors visited the resort areas.
