New head of Kazakhstan Chess Federation named

Entrepreneur and financier Timur Turlov became the president of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, El.kz reports.

The election of a new president on his Facebook page was announced by the vice-president of the Federation Darmen Sadvakasov.

Earlier, since May 2022, the post of president of the organization was held by Galim Khusainov, who in his comments wrote that he was very grateful to Timur Turlov for agreeing to head the federation and continue the systematic development of chess. According to Darmen Sadvakasov, Galim Khusainov moved to the Board of Trustees of the Federation.

We add that the founder and main owner of the holding Freedom Holding Corp. Timur Turlov became the 7th in the list of the richest businessmen in Kazakhstan according to Forbes for May 2022. His fortune is estimated at $ 2.2 billion.
