Chief state sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan, Sarhat Beissenova signed a decree on the vaccination of girls against the human papillomavirus (HPV), El.kz reports.
According to the document, vaccine targeted for girls ages 11 years to 11 years 11 months, but only with the consent of parents or legal representatives.
The vaccination is administered twice with an interval of six months. Gynecologic oncologists emphasize the importance of vaccinations before the sexual activity, which makes the age of 11-13 years optimal for vaccination.
