A bridge with a length of 21 meters was built in the Medeu district of Almaty on the site of an old wooden structure, which was built in the 90s by the residents themselves, El.kz reports with reference to the city akimat.
Residents of Baikonurskaya Street appealed to the akimat with a request to build a new bridge leading to the bus stop. The old one was in disrepair and posed a danger to the lives of residents.
The project was implemented this year within the framework of the "Budget of People's Participation" program. The new metal bridge with strong railings was built in two months.
As part of the project, the surrounding area was landscaped: a sidewalk leading to the bus stop was arranged, street lighting and small architectural forms were installed.
