Why the coin is dedicated to the Golden Horde
The National Bank of Kazakhstan noted that the Golden Horde was one of the largest states in Eurasia between the 13th and 15th centuries, playing a vital role in the development of trade, diplomacy, and urban culture.
The historical heritage of the Ulus of Jochi is linked to the formation of statehood for the peoples of the Great Steppe and modern-day Kazakhstan. The release of this collectible coin aims to preserve historical memory and popularize cultural heritage.
Where to buy the coin
The official sale date has not yet been announced. Information will be published separately on the National Bank's official website.
Despite its collectible status, the coin is considered official legal tender within Kazakhstan. It must be accepted at its face value by all banks in the country for all types of payments.
