National team of Kazakhstan participates in 40th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

This year, the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad is held in Antalya (Turkey). It is attended by over 130 participants from 22 countries of the Balkan Peninsula and guest countries. Among them is the national team of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Olympiad is aimed at encouraging and training talented students in the field of mathematics, and also provides an opportunity to exchange experience between the participating countries. Every year, Kazakhstan participates in this Olympiad and wins prizes," says Gajdembek Tursynov, director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn".

The honor of the country is represented by six schoolchildren. All of them are members of the Olympic team of Kazakhstan, who scored the maximum points at the end of the training camp. The results of the 40th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad will be announced on May 13.
