On the eve of the Republic Day, the National Museum of Qatar has launched an audio guide, which provides overview of the history and culture, unique traditions, and way of life of Qatar in Kazakh language, El.kz cites MFA.

Today, in addition to Arabic and English, this audio tour has been translated into French, Korean, Turkish, Hindi, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.

The audio tour of the National Museum of Qatar was translated and voiced into Kazakh to increase the prestige of the state language abroad as part of a joint project of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Qatar and a group of Kazakh students studying in Doha.

An audio guide on Qatar's history and rare artifacts, consisting of thirty-one parts, is available to both visitors to the Qatar National Museum and visitors to the museum's official website.

In general, the implemented project makes a significant contribution to the cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar, further promotes the Kazakh language at the international level, serves as an additional platform for improving knowledge of the mother tongue for compatriots living abroad, and also encourages the efforts of those wishing to learn the Kazakh language.

The Qatar National Museum is distinguished not only by the number and rarity of exhibits in the Middle East, but also by its amazing architecture. The author of the design of the museum building in the shape of a desert rose is the Pritzker Prize winner, the famous French architect Jean Nouvel.

The city of Doha, which hosted the World Cup last year, is actively turning into a new point of attraction for tourists from all over the world. In 2022, Qatar received more than 2.5 million tourists, most of whom were from the United States, the European Union, China, and neighboring Arab countries.

The popularity of Qatar is also growing among Kazakhstani tourists. As a result of the introduction of a visa-free regime and the launch of direct regular and charter flights between the two countries, about 20 thousand Kazakhstanis have visited Qatar since the beginning of 2022. Considering forecasts for an increase in tourist traffic, the airlines of the two countries soon plan to increase the number of flights to 28 per week and launch direct charter flights from 5 cities of Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Atyrau and Aktobe).
