Morocco supports Kazakhstan’s initiatives in building interreligious dialogue
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Morocco Saulekul Sailaukyzy met with the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco Ahmed Toufiq, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on the holy month of Ramadan and handed over a letter of invitation from the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev to the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in Astana in September 2025.
Minister Toufiq highly appreciated this peace-loving initiative of Kazakhstan, noting that he participated in the Congresses of 2015, 2018 and 2022 as the head of the Moroccan delegation.
He also stressed that the organization of the next session of the Congress, aimed at resolving the conflicts currently taking place in the world, establishing a dialogue between representatives of religious confessions, developing interreligious and interethnic harmony, respect for the views and beliefs of humanity, is of particular importance.
