"MIR" TV COMPANY AND ASSEMBLY OF PEOPLE OF KAZAKHSTAN SIGNED MEMORANDUM ON COOPERATION
In Astana, Assembly of people of Kazakhstan and the national branch of "Interstate broadcasting company "MIR" JSC signed Memorandum of cooperation.
The event was held in the framework of awards in the field of ethnic journalism "Shanyrak", as well as in the categories "Best mediator "and "Best mediation office".
The document was signed by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan – head of the Secretariat Leonid Prokopenko and Director of the national branch Askar Alimzhanov.
The purpose of the Memorandum, as noted by the Deputy head of APK covers the program "Ruhani zhangyru", which is aimed at promotion of the Kazakh culture in the modern world.
"The culture of Kazakhstan is very diverse. We are interested in bringing its nature as a multi-ethnic culture to the attention of the entire international community. TV and radio company "MIR" is now one of the conductors of friendship, public diplomacy between the countries in the post-Soviet space. This obliges us to carry out such cooperation. We sign Memorandum so that these ideas of peace and consent, which our President lays in his policy in Kazakhstan, are widely spread throughout the post-Soviet space," Leonid Prokopenko said.
He explained that Kazakhstan's experience is actively adopted in different countries. There are Assembly of people of Kyrgyzstan, Assembly of people of Russia, according to the speaker, Kazakhstan "organized excellent cooperation on a number of joint projects with them."
"We constantly exchange experiences. Our compatriots live in all these countries, so through modern television and radio we must keep "bridges of friendship" between our people. When we work through television, show how people live in different countries, it always says that these bridges are strengthened. Let's hope that our today's Memorandum will become another conductor of peace and consent throughout the Eurasian continent", Head of the Secretariat said, emphasizing that millions of representatives of different ethnicities living in Kazakhstan and our compatriots abroad should be a living link between the people.
Not very much is known that one of the initiators of the event, which has repeatedly spoken about strengthening ties between people on the world stage through the cooperation of “MIR” TV and radio broadcasting company and the unique Institute of public consent (Assembly – approx.ed.) is the head of the UNESCO chair on ethnic and religious tolerance, Professor of the Department of television and public relations of L. Gumilyov ENU Gadilbek Shalakhmetov.
"Our model is a complex of jewels, necessary for all mankind. I think that Memorandum is a unique document that confirms the wise policy of our President to spread the Kazakh model of public consent and national unity," Professor said.
