Ministry of Defense Volleyball Championship started in Astana
On the basis of the Military College named after General of the Army Sagadat Nurmagambetov, the opening ceremony of the volleyball championship of the Ministry of Defense was held, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.
In total, over four hundred athletes in forty teams participate in the championship.
The volleyball players were greeted by the head of the department for organizing sports and mass work of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Asan Nartaev.
He wished the participants of the competition a dynamic game, successful serves and effective strikes.
"Volleyball develops strength, agility, attention and confidence. All these qualities are necessary for every soldier. We are waiting for exciting games from you, a dynamic game, and let the strongest, most cohesive and well-coordinated team win," Nartaev said.
Competitions are held within the framework of the XIII Spartakiad of the Armed Forces in two compositions.
In the first - representatives of the structural divisions of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. In the second - servicemen of the main departments and departments of the Armed Forces, as well as military units and institutions of the Akmola regional garrison.
