Minister of Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence of UAE stresses importance of volunteering at International Forum in Astana
UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Afra Al-Sabr spoke at the International Volunteer Forum in Astana, emphasizing the importance of volunteering and spreading its culture. She shared the experience of successful volunteer initiatives in the UAE and expressed her intention to cooperate with other countries to achieve the noble goals of volunteering.
Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Afra Mohammed Al Sabri, attended the International Volunteer Forum in Astana and delivered a speech in which she stressed the importance of volunteering and spreading the culture of volunteering on a global scale, El.kz reports.
In her speech, Ms. Al Sabri expressed gratitude to the Government of the United Arab Emirates on behalf of the leadership and people, and also noted the friendly and fraternal relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE in various fields.
The speaker shared the experience of the UAE in the field of volunteering and expressed her desire to cooperate with all countries of the world to achieve the noble goals of volunteering. She noted that volunteering is one of the most important features of society in the UAE and gave examples of successful initiatives implemented in the country.
"One such initiative is the National Volunteer Platform, a smart platform that makes volunteering accessible to everyone, makes it easier to find volunteer opportunities and promotes social responsibility. Another example was the largest volunteer program in the UAE, the Expo 2020 Dubai Volunteer Programme, which involved 30,000 volunteers from different countries," Al Sabri said.
Also, the Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence noted the important role of the ministry in the field of volunteering, organizing and supporting many volunteer initiatives in various fields.
The Ministry provides opportunities for volunteers in educational and cultural activities, and implements volunteering programs to train and qualify volunteers.
In conclusion, Al Sabri expressed the hope that the conference will contribute to strengthening the culture of volunteerism in global societies.
