Memorial plaques in honor of outstanding personalities unveiled in Almaty
Memorial plaques were opened in Almaty in honor of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Scientist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize Abdimalik Nysanbayev and People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, statesman and public figure Sabur Mambeyev. Commemorative plaques are installed in the houses where they lived, El.kz reports with reference to the Almaty akimat.
Abdimalik Nysanbayev devoted his life to science, writing more than 570 scientific papers and forming a scientific school. His research covered philosophy, methodology of science, political science, and other fields. A number of works have been published in 25 foreign languages. Deputy Akim of the city Beibut Shakhanov noted his significant contribution to the development of domestic science.
Sabyr Mambeyev was known for his bright works, most of which are kept in the A. Kasteev Museum of Art. The most famous paintings are "In the Mountains" (1957), "At the Yurt" (1958). A commemorative plaque was installed in the house No. 128 on Nazarbayev Avenue, where this outstanding artist lived.
