Meeting of Council for Youth Policy under Kazakh President held in Astana

A regular meeting of the Council for Youth Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of State Counselor Yerlan Karin, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting of the Council, the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan to Combat Drug Addiction and Drug Business for 2023-2025 and the development of a draft Roadmap to combat gambling addiction were discussed.

The State Counsellor noted that the prevention and fight against drug addiction and gambling addiction are important areas of work to establish the principles of law and order in the country and society.

Members of the Council expressed confidence that the active participation of social activists contributes to the formation of zero tolerance for any offenses in society.

The draft of the annual national report "Youth of Kazakhstan" was also discussed at the Council site. Traditionally, the national report reflects such important social parameters as demography, health, education and science, economic behavior and civic and political participation.

Following the results of the working meeting, Yerlan Karin noted that today in the country young people are becoming not only the addressee of reforms, but already the key driving force of the planned transformations. Yerlan Karin called on the members of the Council to continue to actively participate in the formation and promotion of the current youth agenda in order to effectively solve the pressing problems of Kazakhstan's youth.
