A round table "Development and promotion of the institute of public mediation" was held in the House of Friendship of Astana.

During the round table, public mediators shared their personal experience in regulating disputes and disagreements and resolving conflict situations in various areas.

In particular, the founder and lecturer of the Department of Mediation at Karaganda Medical University, professional mediator Saule Kabiyeva and rector of the Academy of Postgraduate Education of Healthcare Professionals Aigul Muiatdinova noted in their speech that the introduction of the subject "Mediation" in the university and health care gave positive results.

The leaders of Kyrgyz and Uzbek cultural associations, Shavkat Ismailov and Sherzod Pulatov, shared their experience in applying mediation in the field of migration processes.

Volunteer mediators from Gymnasium 26 also shared the secret of successful peer-to-peer communication and the use of mediation in the school. In turn, Nuraly Aidashev, Director of "Kogamdyk Kelisim" MPI, noted that mediation is currently used in all spheres of society and it is necessary to coordinate the work of all mediators, both public and professional, to maintain public accord.

As a result of the meeting, it was proposed to identify the most conflict-prone areas in the mediation sector of Astana and to appoint coordinators from among public mediators in this direction.

Thus, Assel Sailaubay identified several areas most vulnerable to conflict: health care, education, migration, labor and family conflicts, youth sphere, for which the appropriate coordinators were appointed. In addition, it was decided to work together with the National Delphic Committee, headed by Kuralai Tuskova, to develop mediation among special children.

The participants of the round table also discussed the further development and promotion of the institution of public mediation. Recommendations were made and it is planned to participate in the implementation of practical measures to settle differences and disputes, resolve conflict situations in the field of interethnic relations, education, health care, etc.
