Rector of the Academy of Postgraduate Education of Healthcare Personnel, professional mediator Aigul Muyatdinova spoke in detail about mediation in health care.
"Mediation in the field of health care is an alternative instrument of out-of-court dispute settlement, conflict prevention. The advantage of this method of conflict resolution between patients and employees of medical institutions is the orientation on the creation of emotionally favorable conditions for resolving a disputed situation. Opening a mediation room and the presence of mediation skills of doctors, medical staff and administration will help to quickly resolve disagreements and emerging disputes in the process of providing medical care to citizens," said the mediator.
"A conflict is a simultaneous collision of different goals, interests, positions, opinions or views of subjects of interaction, which are fixed by them in a rigid form. There are many types: interpersonal, institutional, political or inter-group. I work as a professional mediator in a hospital in Karaganda. Since the opening of the mediation office, conflicts have been reduced by 30%. In the future, I am ready to raise this indicator to 100%," professional mediator Saule Kabiyeva said.
During the training seminar, the participants exchanged views, and clarifications were given on the issues that arose.
