It was noted that 2020 is rich for anniversary events. In particular, the priority is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, 30th anniversary of the Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan and 175th anniversary of Abay.
There is a lot of work to be done, so the participants of the meeting, having distributed among themselves new responsibilities in the organization of events, outlined plans for the future.
Summing up the year, it is impossible not to note the largest event - a large Kazakh-Korean forum held in Ust-Kamenogorsk," said Yulia Kunst, chairman of the Board of the Association of Koreans of East Kazakhstan Region – Signing agreements and memoranda of cooperation were not the only result, but also the desire of the Korean party to take an active part in strengthening bilateral relations. Thus, the mayor of the sister city Gangeun expressed a desire to come personally to the regional center in May 2020.
The preparations for these landmark and important events have already begun. The same as for the celebration of New Year according to the lunar calendar - the Korean holiday Seollal, which falls on January 25 this year.
