Turnover in the field of computer programming and consulting exceeded trillion tenge during January-December 2023, the total volume of services provided in the field of computer programming, as well as in the field of consulting and other related services reached 1.1 trillion tenge. This is 41.1% more than in the same period of the previous year, El.kz reports with reference to Finprom.
For comparison: for the same period of the previous year, there was an increase in services in this area by 54.8%, reaching 777.2 billion tenge.
Most of the services in the IT sector of Kazakhstan are software development, reaching 599 billion tenge, which is 60.3% more compared to the previous year.
This is followed by consulting services and practical application of information technologies, which amounted to 79.2 billion tenge, an increase of 2.5 times compared to last year, as well as software maintenance services in the amount of 72 billion tenge, which is 86.7% more than in the previous year.
In the context of the regions, Almaty leads in the provision of IT services with an amount of 579.3 billion tenge, which is 52.2% more compared to last year.
In second place is Astana with 402.5 billion tenge, an increase of 25.2% over the year. This is followed by Karaganda region (17.3 billion tenge, an increase of 0.7%), West Kazakhstan region (16 billion tenge, an increase of 3.8 times) and Kostanay region (11.4 billion tenge, an increase of 78.7%).
The smallest number of services in the IT sector was provided in Ulytau (192.1 million tenge), Turkestan (542.1 million tenge) and Zhetysu (1.2 billion tenge) regions.
