Leonid Prokopenko: President's speech at the opening Year of Youth is basically address to young people
Within the framework of the opening of the Year of Youth, Youth Forum of Self-made leaders of APK’s Association of Entrepreneurs is held at Nazarbayev University. The forum is held in the format of TEDx, where speakers are talking about their successful cases, measures of state support in the field of entrepreneurship and youth policy, share their experience of opening and developing business.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairmen of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan Leonid Prokopenko, Islambek Salzhanov, deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, members of APK, Atameken, representatives of national youth organizations. Leonid Prokopenko noted that the Forum was held for the second time on the basis of the Association of Entrepreneurs.
“Year of youth is a huge step to promote the Kazakhstan's model of the social state forward. New unique social lifts have been created for our young people. Unemployed youth received a signal that in three years there will be no people who do not study or work. Young scientists have received two-fold increase in their research grants. A new programme of education will establish new universities and colleges with new specialties" said Head of Secretariat.
He also noted that the Fund for Support of Youth Startups will be created as the young people have ideas but do not know the ways to realize them. He expressed hope that this forum will give opportunities for young people to learn from elders’ experience.
Head of Secretariat cited President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s words that the oil will be finished soon, so it is necessary to create economy of ordinary things. He said that yesterday he was informed that solar powered plant was opened in Karaganda and noted that it is a huge breakthrough in technology.
Prior to the beginning of the Forum, an exhibition of products of domestic manufacturers, artisans, youth startups, members of APK’s Association of Entrepreneurs was held.
The program also includes a visit to the factory of "ASTANA Yutaria Ltd" LLP for the production of special clothing and holding master classes at the factory.
