By order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Bozok" is being built in the vicinity of Astana. The complex with an area of 412 hectares will become the largest open-air museum in the country, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To date, the construction of entrance portals-fortress walls with a height of more than 7 meters to enter the museum from both sides has begun. The towers at the entrance and the fortress will be lined with building materials specially made according to the technology of those times.

The main aim of the project is to demonstrate the advanced achievements of the steppe civilization in an open-air museum. Here, along with the settlement of Bozok, historical complexes from the Eneolithic era to the Middle Ages will be reconstructed. Each complex will reflect the history of the formation of material and spiritual culture: palace complexes, sanctuaries, residential buildings, metallurgical and pottery kilns, forges and workshops, craft quarters, a medieval market, petroglyphs, etc.

It is expected that in the future, Bozok, as an innovative project, will become an attractive cultural infrastructure on the tourist map not only of the capital, but also of the country. The historical and cultural project will give impetus to the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the creation of new jobs.

"The museum of the new format will allow them to fully experience the atmosphere of that era, the life of the people and get acquainted with the advanced culture of the steppe civilization.

It is obvious that in the future this project will become a driver for the growth of the tourism brand of Kazakhstan, which will make a concrete contribution to the development of domestic and inbound tourism. The opening of the museum-reserve will improve the investment attractiveness of the capital region, contribute to the growth of the international image of Kazakhstan as the keeper of the steppe history of Eurasia," said Saule Burbayeva, director of the Bozok State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
