The Khan Tengri innovation hub has officially launched at the Zhangjiang Science and Technology Park in Shanghai — marking the first platform for technological cooperation between Central Eurasian countries and China, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan.
The hub was inaugurated within China’s largest tech cluster, often referred to as the “Asian Silicon Valley.” It will serve as a bridge connecting startups, IT companies, and research centers from Central Asia with the digital ecosystem of the world’s second-largest market.
The project was implemented by the Kazakhstani company Growth Vision Pro with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, as well as the tech parks Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan.
A New Era of Digital Diplomacy
Khan Tengri is positioned as a next-generation technological platform. Its goal goes beyond offering office space — it aims to provide comprehensive support through a “soft-landing” model: helping businesses adapt to a complex environment with legal, language, marketing, and acceleration services.
As noted by Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, the project will open direct access to Chinese investors, venture capital, acceleration programs, and manufacturing partners.
“We are confident that the hub will play a key role in promoting our tech companies’ products to the Chinese market,” the minister emphasized.
