Kazan hosts Global Youth Summit
The Global Youth Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries started in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, which is attended by more than 300 people from 67 states - ministers of youth affairs of the OIC countries, ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the OIC countries, consuls general of the OIC countries, leaders of youth organizations, representatives of international organizations involved in youth policy, opinion leaders, young entrepreneurs and representatives of the scientific community, El.kz reports.
Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Baymuldinov noted the importance of dialogue on the development of international youth cooperation and the development of joint recommendations on solving topical issues of youth, including those related to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Within the framework of the summit, representatives of the OIC countries will discuss five main topics: youth migration, entrepreneurship, well-being and mental health of young people, digital trends among young people, social elevators and equality of opportunity.
In addition, it is planned to hold thematic panel sessions: "Youth on the global agenda" and "The world through the eyes of the future". As a result of the event, a draft long-term program of international youth cooperation in various areas will be developed, which will be sent to the OIC countries for approval.
