The Kazakhstan national rhythmic gymnastics team is set to take part in the World Challenge Cup stage, which will be held from July 25 to 27 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, El.kz reports.
The tournament is included in the official calendar of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and will serve as the final event before the World Championships.
Around 200 athletes from 42 countries are expected to compete. Kazakhstan will be represented by eight gymnasts, who will perform in both individual and group exercises.
The World Challenge Cup in Cluj-Napoca will serve as a dress rehearsal for the main event of the season — the World Championships, which will take place from August 18 to 25 in Brazil.
Among Kazakhstan’s main rivals are the teams from Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Russia, and Germany, all of whom have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
A high level of competition is expected, and the Kazakh team is aiming to deliver a strong performance on the international stage.
