Kazakhstanis make choice in favor of qualitatively new Mazhilis

The Democratic Party "Ak Zhol" made a statement on the results of the elections, El.kz reports with reference to "Ak Zhol".

"Today the results of the elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament were announced.

The Democratic Party "Ak Zhol" considers the elections to be held at a decent level and in accordance with the law.

It was a free, and, in its own way, unprecedented for modern Kazakhstan campaign.

Such a level of openness and competitiveness became possible thanks to the political reforms of the Head of State, as a result of which there were serious changes in the electoral system: the transition to a mixed proportional-majoritarian model, which made it possible to actively involve civil activists and independent candidates in the political process.

Participants were given opportunities both to conduct election campaigning and to observe the voting process.

We had an interesting and eventful electoral period, held thousands of meetings with voters, and were convinced of the correctness and relevance of our work.

The people of Kazakhstan made a choice in favor of qualitatively new Mazhilis and maslikhats, trusting our party. We express our gratitude to all those who voted for the Ak Zhol Democratic Party, our like-minded people and colleagues in the party in the center and on the ground, for large-scale organization and successful results.

With a new mandate of people's trust and with new energy, we are resuming work in the Parliament and maslikhats, and will continue to implement our Political Program aimed at improving the quality of life of every citizen of Kazakhstan."
