Kazakhstanis can legally work in Qatar

On September 10, 2025, Kazakhstan and Qatar signed an agreement that gives the opportunity for Kazakhs to work legally in one of the wealthiest countries of the Persian Gulf. Now everything is official — contracts, labor rights protection, and work visas valid for 1–3 years. For professionals with higher education and English skills, salaries range from 550,000 to 4.4 million tenge tax-free, with housing, transport, and insurance, El.kz reports.
Ratified in Doha, it guarantees Kazakhs legal employment under contracts that specify medical insurance, housing, transport, and paid leave. Qatar’s 2025 reforms removed the need for entry permits and documents to change jobs, and the minimum wage is now 1,800 QAR (~200,000 tenge).
Already, 710 Kazakhs are working in Qatar. But without higher education and English, you’ll be stuck in low-paid jobs. Meanwhile, engineers, IT specialists, administrators, and construction professionals with experience and language skills are in high demand.
