Kazakhstani traveler Dilmurat Zikriyarov has presented a detailed guide for those wishing to drive from Kazakhstan to Turkey, El.kz reports.
The route begins in Atyrau passes through Astrakhan and continues through Vladikavkaz. From there, the path leads through mountainous Kazbegi, ancient Tbilisi, and the Black Sea coast of Batumi, finally reaching Turkey.
On the Turkish side, the route passes through the Trabzon port, the historic town of Amasya, the rocky landscapes of Göreme in Cappadocia, the lavender fields of Isparta, the white travertines of Pamukkale, the resort town of Marmaris, Ölüdeniz Bay, and finally, the cozy town of Kaş. The entire round trip covers approximately 14,000 km. In his guide, Zikriyarov has mapped out all gas stations along the route and detailed the nuances travelers face on each section.
The main trap
Dilmurat admits that the biggest mistake travelers make is attempting to reach Turkey in just three days. In this case, one risks arriving at the sea with only one thought: "When will this finally end?"
Zikriyarov recommends allowing at least 6 - 8 days for the trip, depending on the city of departure, spending a couple of days in Russia and 3 - 4 days in Georgia.
He believes the journey begins not at the hotel reception in Antalya, but at your own doorstep.
Kazakhstan is also part of the adventure
Dilmurat emphasizes that the drive through Kazakhstan is not just a boring transit, but a full-fledged part of the route. The country is vast and beautiful, and many underestimate what they see out of their car window every day.
For those whose only goal is the sea, he offers some ironic advice: buy a plane ticket. A car, he says, is for those who are traveling in pursuit of freedom.
