Medet from Kazakhstan spent nearly a month at the legendary Shaolin Monastery studying the ancient art of Kung Fu, El.kz reports.

According to blogger, true Kung Fu does not begin with strikes and stretching, but within the person. The most important elements are inner peace, the ability to remain calm, and total control over one’s emotions and thoughts.

“Here, I realized that strength is not found in aggression. Strength is in calmness,” Medet shared.

Every day at the monastery began with training, meditation, and self-work. His Shifu (master) taught that a true warrior must first defeat their own fears, laziness, and ego before conquering anything else.

The experience of connecting with others was especially valuable for the blogger. At Shaolin, he found his "Kung Fu family" friends from various countries united by discipline, respect, and a shared drive for growth.

Medet expressed special gratitude to his teacher. According to him, sometimes a single brief instruction from his Shifu shifted his mindset more powerfully than any motivational speech.

This month at Shaolin became a true period of self-reflection for the Kazakhstani. He returned with the conviction that sometimes, to truly hear yourself, you need to travel far away from your ordinary life.
