Kazakhstan to open about 80 new schools by September
About 80 new schools will open their doors to schoolchildren by the beginning of the school year. In total, by the end of the year, it is planned to introduce more than 230 schools, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"On behalf of the Head of State, 1,000 schools will be built in the country by the end of 2025. Last year, 277 schools were put into operation. This year it is planned to introduce another 230 schools. 80 schools will be opened by September 1. The financing and construction of schools according to the law is under the jurisdiction of akimats," Vice Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev said.
Most of the new schools are being built in regions where there is an active demographic growth, and there are not enough student places. These are Almaty, Atyrau regions and the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty.
