Kazakhstan wins 12 medals at Asian Athletics Championships

Kazakhstanis won 12 medals at the Asian Athletics Championships, Minister of Culture of Sports Askhat Oralov said on his Facebook page, El.kz

"The X Asian Indoor Athletics Championships ended in Astana. This tournament in our country was held for the first time in history. The organizers of the event worked hard, and the athletes performed with dignity in their native walls and met expectations.

In the piggy bank of the national team of Kazakhstan there are 12 medals - 6 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Our women's high jump team took the entire podium. Our runners also distinguished themselves. For example, in the 4 x 400 meters relay, both the men's and women's teams of Kazakhstan became winners, and in the single women's race at the same distance, Elina Mikhina became the first. David Efremov became the Champion of Asia in the 60 meters hurdles, and Caroline Kipkirui - at a distance of 3000 meters.

The achievements of our athletes allowed Kazakhstan to take the 2nd place according to the results of the medal standings. On the 1st place is the national team of Japan and closed the top three team from Qatar.
