The Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan published the results of the republican vote,El.kz reports.

According to the commission, 7 million 820 thousand 204 people or 63.66% of the total number of citizens with the right to vote participated in the voting.

Of those 5 million 561 thousand 937 people (71.12%) voted in favor of construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan.

A positive decision on the issue submitted to the referendum has been made
