Kazakhstan tops quality of life ranking in Central Asia

According to the latest quality of life ranking for 2025, published by CEOWORLD Magazine, Kazakhstan has been recognized as the leader in the Central Asia region, El.kz reports.

The study is based on the Human Progress Index (HPI), which reflects important criteria such as stability, level of life satisfaction, and balance of freedoms. The ranking was compiled by analyzing data collected from over 250,000 respondents worldwide.

Switzerland holds a confident lead in the world ranking, followed by Norway and Iceland. Also in the top ten are countries such as Hong Kong (4th place), Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, and Australia.Kazakhstan, despite lagging behind the Baltic States (Estonia - 33, Lithuania - 39, Latvia - 41) and Russia (59th place), significantly outperforms most other post-Soviet states, which are positioned below 78th place.

Such indicators confirm that Kazakhstan demonstrates sustainable development in key areas - from life expectancy and quality of education to income levels and public stability.

The report emphasizes that a country receives a high score in the HPI if its citizens have access to quality education, feel safe, are satisfied with their personal and professional fulfillment, and can expect a decent life span.

"The main resource of any successful country is its people who shape a high standard of living and contribute to the sustainable progress of society”, CEOWORLD Magazine notes.
