From January 1, 2025, the issuance of individual identification numbers (IIN) to foreigners of Kazakhstan will be temporarily suspended, El.kz reports.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia explained that this decision is made due to the completion of the pilot project "Formation of an individual identification number for foreign citizens through foreign missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

It is expected that additional information on the procedure for obtaining IIN will be posted on the official website of the embassy in the near future.
