Kazakhstan to modernize educational programs for personnel training
Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education together with the Akimat of the Atyrau region and the certification center Edil-Oral.kz LLP concluded an agreement on the implementation of pilot projects to test the main tools of the National Qualifications System, the procedure for the application of which is regulated in the draft law "On Professional Qualifications", El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the pilot project "Application of professional standards in the education system" during 2023, it is planned to ensure 100% coverage of approved professional standards in the development or updating of educational programs that will be applied in the training of personnel.
According to the plans for the implementation of the pilot project "Introduction of an independent certification system", certification centers and employers will identify at least 5 popular professions in the oil and gas industry, on which the process of independent certification will be tested. The main indicator of the successful implementation of the pilot will be the employment of about 100 certified specialists.
In general, thanks to the pilot projects, it is planned to ensure the creation of an effective basis for the further application of professional standards in the development of educational programs in all areas, as well as to form a system for confirming and improving skills. This will not only provide the labor market with highly qualified specialists, but also take into account the current requirements of employers in training personnel and increase the demand for applicants in the labor market.
