The launch of the new platform was announced at a press conference in the presence of government officials, representatives of the banking industry of Kazakhstan and the management of Binance Kazakhstan, El.kz reports.
According to the Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aset Turyssov, the government is implementing a special initiative to promote interaction between the AIFC, cryptocurrency exchanges and second-tier banks. The National Bank of Kazakhstan, the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market are taking part in this project, which has already shown excellent results.
"Over the past year, regulators in Kazakhstan have taken significant steps towards the development of the cryptocurrency industry. Binance assisted Kazakhstan in the development of a legislative framework and a general policy for the regulation of crypto assets, as well as in the implementation of various educational initiatives, including for state and law enforcement agencies and regulators," Turyssov said.
Zhaslan Madiyev, General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan, noted that Binance is working productively with five regulatory authorities of the country: the AIFC Financial Services Authority (AFSA), the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, and the Financial Monitoring Agency.
