Kazakhstan to give loan for studying at universities
Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of providing loans to students, undergraduates and doctoral students of higher educational institutions to pay for education, El.kz reports.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a state educational loan and submitted it for public discussion. The loan will be provided in national currency for a period of 10 years. Payment starts one month after the loan is issued, not after graduation. Payment time is deducted if the student takes an academic leave.
To receive a loan, the applicant must be a student of a university or secondary educational institution in Kazakhstan. Also, the student will have an educational savings deposit agreement or an educational savings insurance contract with total savings in the amount of at least 10% of the total cost of educational services for the entire period of study.
