Former Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov commented on the current challenges and prospects of the reforms, El.kz reports.

“2025 – the Year of Vocational Professions – has brought major changes. Reforms will continue, because there are still many issues in this area. We have announced an increase in per capita funding, this decision has been made at the political level, and now we are waiting for the allocation of funds. We need to modernize over 200 colleges and upgrade their material and technical base.”

According to Aimagambetov, the modernization of colleges and the improvement of their material and technical base will be key steps in preparing qualified specialists in demand on the labor market.

These measures are expected to make vocational professions more attractive to young people, who often choose other career paths today.
