Kazakhstan to adopt uniform requirements for foreign universities

Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duisenova made a report in which she noted that work with foreign universities will be aimed at training engineering and technical personnel, El.kz reports .

By the end of the year, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education plans to adopt Uniform Requirements for the Activities of Foreign Universities in Kazakhstan. These requirements will relate to the transfer of educational programs, training technologies, as well as the assessment of the level of knowledge, competencies and skills of students.

In addition, it is planned to revise the work of domestic universities as to increase their competitiveness. By April 1, 2025, an independent assessment of the quality of education in Kazakhstani universities will be carried out using indicators from OECD countries. Based on the results of this assessment, universities will be divided into higher, middle and target leagues.
