Kazakhstan takes 1st team place at World Jiu-Jitsu Championship
On November 10-12, the World Combat Jiu-Jitsu Championship was held in Daugavpils (Latvia). About 600 athletes from 29 countries took part in the competition. 80 athletes participated from the national team of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan
In the Ground Fight discipline among boys, our athletes won 6 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals. Among adults - 6 gold, 4 silver and 14 bronze medals.
In the discipline of Klose contact among young men, our awards: 6 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals. Among adults, Kazakhstanis won 9 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze medals.
In the Self Defense discipline, our athletes were awarded 2 gold and 5 bronze medals.
In the discipline of Full contact among adults, the team has 11 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze medals. Among boys: 6 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
According to the results of the championship, Kazakhstan took 1 team place. Our team was followed by a team from Ukraine, the 3rd place was taken by Kyrgyzstan.
