Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel Satybaldy Burshakov and President of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation Timur Turlov held a meeting with the Director General of the International Chess Federation (Fédération Internationale des Échecs, FIDE) Emil Sutovsky, El.kz reports.
The sides discussed the upcoming match for the title of world chess champion, which is scheduled for the spring of this year in Astana. E. Sutkovsky praised the development of chess sports in Kazakhstan and achievements in the world chess arena.
The participants of the meeting also considered the prospects for the development of cooperation between the Kazakhstan Chess Federation and FIDE, including in terms of introducing a proper chess training system.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to promote the intensification of bilateral contacts between the Kazakhstan Chess Federation and FIDE.
