Kazakhstan signs agreement on supply of early vegetables from Tajikistan in off-season
The Kazakh delegation headed by the First Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev and representatives of the regions visited Tajikistan on a working trip. As a result, the parties signed an agreement on the supply of early onions from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan in the off-season, El.kz cites press service of the ministry.
During the trip, the First Vice Minister of Kazakhstan met with the Head of the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan Bahriddin Sirodjiddinzoda, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Ashurba Solehzoda, as well as with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan Nigina Anvari. The main topic of the negotiations is to provide the Kazakh market with the necessary fruit and vegetable products during the upcoming off–season, when the stocks of local vegetables are running out and there is a need for their import.
As Arman Shakkaliyev noted, today trade and economic relations between our countries are experiencing a qualitative rise. Thus, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in 2022 amounted to $ 1.4 billion. The volume of exports from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan increased by 9.7% and reached $ 877.6 million.
The parties agreed to further develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of trade.
