Kazakhstan sends additional humanitarian aid to Palestinians
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development KazAID, delivered the humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people by a special aircraft, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On the same plane, 28 people were taken to Kazakhstan - citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of their families, who were evacuated from the Gaza Strip.
After passing all mandatory procedures, the evacuated citizens of Kazakhstan will be provided with the necessary legal, medical and other assistance. Earlier, on November 17 of this year, the first group of citizens with a total of 99 people was safely evacuated in a similar way.
Humanitarian aid, including food, medicines and medical supplies with a total weight of more than 38 tons, was handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, together with the Egyptian authorities, will transfer Kazakh aid to Palestinians in need.
Kazakhstan, as chair of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, has provided additional humanitarian assistance to Palestine, which is also a member of this organization.
