In the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan), the official opening of the tourist season took place. The opening program included an international fair of handicrafts and folk art, where the rich cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan were presented. A spectacular event was the Yurt Quick Assembly Competition, a traditional competition that showcases the skill and identity of the Kyrgyz people.

Then, the grand opening of the international forum "Tourism 2030: Central Asia as a Single Tourist Space" took place. The forum participants discussed the development of cross-border routes, the coordination of visa procedures, the introduction of digital solutions, the formation of a regional tourism brand and the launch of joint initiatives in the field of tourism.

"Kazakhstan is convinced that uniting the efforts of the countries of the CA region is not just a choice, but a strategically correct path. For a tourist, it is not borders that are important, but impressions, and that is why Kazakhstan proposes to create a single space with common standards, digital solutions and the Silk Road – Central Asia brand," said Nurtas Karipbayev.

Kazakhstan also initiated the creation of a regional project office for sustainable interaction between the countries and proposed to launch a pilot campaign for the international promotion of Central Asia this year.
